Redmen Atom AA brought home the gold from Annual Pittsburgh Vipers Thanksgiving Classic
Over the U.S. Thanksgiving weekend the Newmarket Redmen Atom AAs brought home the gold medal at the Annual Pittsburgh Vipers Thanksgiving Classic.
The Redmen went undefeated in the round robin play advancing to play the Butler Valley Bulldogs in the final. In the final, this version of the Crazy Canucks continued their excellent play at both ends of the ice – with several head-turning highlight reel goals – and never looked back. The players received an unexpected compliment when an opponent parent was overheard saying, “these guys are from Canada….they take hockey to a whole other level….!” And, they did.
The boys – and our girl Izzy – remained energized throughout a weekend that included: blacklight bowling, bumper cars, tree top trekking, mini golf, tailgate bbq and football, a visit to Heinz Field & PNC Park and then capped off with a Pittsburgh Penguins game in – what else – the Canadian Club Suite!
